AlBassami Group allows permitted personal items to be shipped inside the vehicle which the owner has both acknowledged and accepted full responsibility for in writing. The owner must also declare that there are no prohibited items. The Group is not responsible for insuring these items or for any loss or damage.

A. The roundtrip agreement is only valid for six months from the date of shipment. If the six months are up, without the owner shipping the vehicle back, he/she will accept that the Group will reimburse only half the return trip fees.
B. The owner of the vehicle does not have the right to change the return route, if this should happen both the agreement and the discount rate are void. The Group will only reimburse the fees for the return trip after deducting the maximum fee for the outgoing trip and will draw up a new agreement for return shipping.
C. Ten percent of the shipment value will be deducted if the agreement is cancelled by the client.

The client must check that his/her car has arrived on the date specified in the agreement, and under no circumstances is allowed not to be present. In the case of the client not turning up and after two weeks from expected date of delivery he/she will be responsible for storage and security fees for the vehicle calculated on the base of ten Riyals per day for two weeks and 20 Riyals per day for any period after that. The client has no right to object to the application of this clause.

AlBassami Group is neither responsible for any mechanical, electrical or electronic damages caused to the transported vehicle nor for any damages caused one week from arrival date if the owner does not show. The client must accept delivery of the vehicle in the condition it is found.

If AlBassami Group or any other official authority discovers any weapons of any kind, ammunition, drugs, alcoholic drinks, stolen goods or any other prohibited items, whether inside the vehicle, within its parts or within the personal belongings inside the vehicle, the owner or shipper of the car is the responsible party before the authorities. In accordance with the main page of the affidavit signed by the client, AlBassami Group is not held in anyway responsible.

If the transported vehicle is rented or leased to the shipper following the system that will result in his/her ownership of said vehicle then the shipper must produce an authorized power of attorney from the owner of the vehicle.

During shipping AlBassami Group has the right to refuse to ship the vehicle if it proves to be damaged or not in working order and the owner should be notified. In this case, the owner is held fully responsible and must bear any extra expenses needed to repair the car in order to go on with the shipping process if he/she expresses the desire to do so by fax or official instructions.

The owner must provide all the official documents needed to transport the vehicle across the international borders of the Kingdom. Furthermore, the owner must bear all the expenses of customs, clearance and all other expenses involved in shipping across international borders; along with port fees, the cost of delay and any other international fees. The owner is also responsible for any difference in price caused by a price increase on the part of the legal authorities this can be done without having to get the owners agreement. AlBassami Group has the right to refuse to hand over the vehicle if all expenses are not covered.

The owner is obliged to pay the Group seven hundred Riyals for each day of delay (24 hours) caused by being stopped by customs or security at the international or local borders of the Kingdom, due to the violation, on the part of the owner, of articles six and nine or for any other reason connected to the vehicle or caused by the owner.

If trailer trucks are delayed at the borders or at check points or because of bad weather conditions the owner has no right to claim any compensation for the delay as it is out of our hands.

The owner of the car must declare that in the case of not getting his/her car at the date appointed in the agreement and after a period of six months he/she gives AlBassami Group the irrevocable power of attorney to sell the vehicle at a price it finds suitable and to sign the sale contract in his/her place and transfer ownership to the buyer at the Traffic Department. All payments due will be deduced from the sale price of the vehicle and if the price should not be enough to cover this, AlBassami Group has the right to claim the difference from the owner however, if the sale price exceeds the payments the Group has the right to keep the difference.

Vehicles owned by companies have to be provided with the original copy of authorization for the shipment stating the value of shipping in accordance with the prices agreed upon.

In the case of any damages caused to the vehicle the Traffic System must be referred to for all models.

AlBassami Group is not responsible for the vehicle after the handover permit has been issued or after the owner or the authorized representative has received the vehicle.

The car is only handed over to the owner or to the authorized representative who has a document stating the owner’s acceptance.

The owner of the vehicle, the authorized representative or the shipper is considered to be the second party, while AlBassami Group is the first.

Both parties accept that any dispute over the agreement may be resolved through discussion and in the case of this proving to be impossible the General Court in Riyadh is the legal venue to be referred to. The owner, thus, waives the right to litigation at his/her place of residence.
